Amir Tag Elsir is considered one of the most prominent novelists and physicians in contemporary Sudan. Born in 1960, he studied internal medicine and practiced the profession for many years, yet he never abandoned his passion for literature. He successfully combined the practice of medicine with the art of narrative fiction, becoming one of the most important writers of modern Arabic literature.
Amir Tag Elsir’s works are characterized by a remarkable human depth and precise depiction of his characters’ psychological features. His novels explore the suffering of individuals in societies plagued by war, poverty, and deferred dreams. His most famous novel, “The Grub Hunter”, gained wide recognition and has been translated into multiple languages. It tells the story of Abdallah Frafar, a retired national security officer who lost his leg in an accident during his service and decides to become a writer. He begins to write a novel about his espionage experiences, which evolves into a profound meditation on issues of freedom, surveillance, and social behavior.
In addition to The Grub Hunter, Amir Tag Elsir authored other significant works such as “Ebola 76”, “Zahr al-Lawz”, and “The Naked Man Dresses Every Day”. All his novels share a focus on human destiny, isolation, and the quest for meaning in a turbulent world.

يُعَدُّ أَمِيرُ تَاجِ السِّرِّ مِنْ أَبْرَزِ الرِّوَائِيِّينَ وَالأَطِبَّاءِ فِي السُّودَانِ المُعَاصِرِ. وُلِدَ عَامَ ٠٦٩١ م، وَتَلَقَّى دِرَاسَتَهُ فِي الطِّبِّ البَاطِنِيِّ وَمَارَسَ المِهْنَةَ لِسَنَوَاتٍ طَوِيلَةٍ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَتَخَلَّ عَنْ شَغَفِهِ بِالأَدَبِ. اسْتَطَاعَ الجَمْعَ بِبَرَاعَةٍ بَيْنَ مِهْنَةِ الطِّبِّ وَفَنِّ السَّرْدِ الرِّوَائِيِّ، لِيُصْبِحَ مِنْ أَهَمِّ كُتَّابِ الأَدَبِ العَرَبِيِّ الحَدِيثِ.
تَتَسِمُ أَعْمَالُ أَمِيرِ تَاجِ السِّرِّ بِعُمْقٍ إِنْسَانِيٍّ مَلْحُوظٍ وَدِقَّةٍ فَائِقَةٍ فِي رَسْمِ المَلامِحِ النَّفْسِيَّةِ لِلشَّخْصِيَّاتِ. يَسْتَعْرِضُ فِي رِوَايَاتِهِ مُعَانَاةَ الأَفْرَادِ فِي مُجْتَمَعَاتٍ تَعَانِي مِنَ الحُرُوبِ وَالفَقْرِ وَالأَحْلَامِ المُؤَجَّلَةِ. وَتُعَدُّ رِوَايَتُهُ “صَائِدُ اليَرَقَاتِ” مِنْ أَشْهَرِ أَعْمَالِهِ، حَيْثُ حَازَتْ شُهْرَةً وَاسِعَةً وَتُرْجِمَتْ إِلَى لُغَاتٍ عَدِيدَةٍ. تَدُورُ أَحْدَاثُهَا حَوْلَ ضَابِطِ أَمْنٍ وَطَنِيٍّ مُتَقَاعِدٍ يُدْعَى عَبْدُ اللهِ فَرْفَار، يَقْرِّرُ أَنْ يُصْبِحَ كَاتِبًا بَعْدَ فَقْدِهِ سَاقَهُ فِي حَادِثٍ أَثْنَاءَ عَمَلِهِ. فَيَشْرَعُ فِي كِتَابَةِ رِوَايَةٍ عَنْ تَجَارِبِهِ فِي عَالَمِ التَّجَسُّسِ، لِتَتَحَوَّلَ إِلَى تَأَمُّلَاتٍ عَمِيقَةٍ فِي قَضَايَا الحُرِّيَّةِ وَالمُرَاقَبَةِ وَطَبَائِعِ المُجْتَمَعِ.
إِلَى جَانِبِ “صَائِدِ اليَرَقَاتِ”، أَلَّفَ أَمِيرُ تَاجِ السِّرِّ أَعْمَالًا أُخْرَى بَارِزَةً مِثْلَ: “إِيبُولا ٦٧”، “زَهْرُ اللَّوْزِ”، وَ**”العُرْيَانُ يَلْبَسُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ“. وَتَشْتَرِكُ جَمِيعُ رِوَايَاتِهِ فِي تَسْلِيطِ الضَّوْءِ عَلَى المَصَائِرِ الإِنْسَانِيَّةِ، وَمَوْضُوعَاتِ العُزْلَةِ وَالبَحْثِ عَنِ المَعْنَى فِي عَالَمٍ مُضْطَرِبٍ.
وَأَمَّا مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ الأُسْلُوبِ، فَيَمْتَازُ أَمِيرُ تَاجِ السِّرِّ بِسَرْدٍ جَذَّابٍ يَمْزِجُ بَيْنَ اللُّغَةِ الشِّعْرِيَّةِ وَالحِسِّ السَّاخِرِ، مِمَّا يُمَكِّنُ القَارِئَ مِنَ الِانْدِمَاجِ العَمِيقِ مَعَ عَوَالِمِ شَخْصِيَّاتِهِ. وَقَدْ نَالَتْ أَعْمَالُهُ شُهْرَةً دُوَلِيَّةً، حَيْثُ تُرْجِمَتْ إِلَى عِدَّةِ لُغَاتٍ وَرُشِّحَ بَعْضُهَا لِجَائِزَةِ البُوكَرِ العَرَبِيَّةِ.
اليَوْمَ، يُعْتَبَرُ أَمِيرُ تَاجِ السِّرِّ صَوْتًا أَدَبِيًّا مُتَفَرِّدًا يُسَاهِمُ فِي تَطْوِيرِ السَّرْدِ العَرَبِيِّ المُعَاصِرِ، وَيُقَرِّبُ القَارِئَ مِنْ تَفَاصِيلِ الحَيَاةِ السُّودَانِيَّةِ بِكُلِّ تَنَوُّعِهَا وَثَرَائِهَا.
