Fayza Arabic Centre was established in 2017 by Dr Amira Elzikrd to provide learning Arabic Language, and named it after her mother who passed away in 2016. It started in Cardiff, Wales, UK at the beginning, then turned into online learning to reach everyone everywhere. With the growing interest in Arabic language all over the world, it have lots of learners inside and outside UK. Fayza Arabic Centre is always happy to serve learners from all backgrounds, levels and age groups to learn Arabic language.

About the Founder


Dr Amira Elzikrd is originally from Egypt. She has graduated from Faculty of Arts, Mansoura University in 1995, and has been in the teaching career since that time. She had her first MA in comparative literature from Ein Shams University in 2005, then her PhD also in comparative literature from Ein Shams University in 2008. She studied teaching Arabic for non-speakers in the AUC (the American University in Cairo) in 2014, then in Cairo University in 2015. She obtained her second MA in professional translation & interpreting from Swansea University in 2016, then founded Fayza Arabic Centre in Cardiff in 2017. She has also received a professional training with the IB Development Team in 2020, and has been an Edexcel Examiner for many years.

Arabic


Arabic is the 5th most commonly spoken native language in the world. It is also the official language of 22 countries that form the Arab League. In those countries, between 300 million and 400 million people use Arabic as their first language. It is one of the six official languages of the UN. Other than the United Nations, Arabic is also an official language of the African Union, The Arab League and The Organization of Islamic Conference. Accordingly, there is a high demand for learning Arabic to be used in the fields of business, journalism, media, travelling, finance and banking, translation and interpreting and many others.
